Why we suggest this
- Fewer variations of slot types works better: it creates less calendar Tetris.
- Cluster conditions wherever possible, so patients get truly holistic one-stop appointments.
- Keep appointment durations low, this protects against unutilised clinical time in the event of DNAs.

Why this approach? Fewer slot types means less calendar Tetris, clustering conditions gives patients one-stop reviews, and short durations protect clinical time if patients DNA.
We recommend creating these slot types in EMIS / S1, named as shown - we can discuss this on your onboarding call. You can add more conditions to a slot type if your staff are able to manage them, which creates more availability in your booking links.
